The first time you use your MC account to log in to a computer it must be on campus and directly connected to the CUIMC network, via wired (network cable) connection or the secure Mercury wireless network.  After your first successful login this is not necessary (e.g. you can log in to your laptop when off campus).

Instructions

1. Turn on the computer. When prompted, press the Ctrl, Alt and Delete keys on the keyboard at the same time.
2. The Windows login prompt will appear.
   If there is no blank User name field, select links to Switch User - Other user to reach it.
   
3. At the Windows login prompt, type in the following:
   1. User name - your MC account name (typically your UNI)
   2. Password - the password you selected for your MC account
      • Remember that your MC password is not necessarily the same as your UNI password.
      • If you haven't yet used the myPassword website to select your MC account password, use the temporary password you were given. Follow instructions for using myPassword as soon as possible to pick your new MC password.
   3. Make sure the Sign in to: field shows MC before hitting the Enter key or clicking OK. If it doesn't, type mc\myaccount in the User Name field, where myaccount is your actual MC account name.
4. When you have signed in successfully the computer will finish start up and be ready for use.
