Manually Update Your MC/Email Password in an Android Outlook App

If you have changed or reset your MC domain (computer login) or CUIMC email password, be sure that it is updated on any other devices and computers that may have stored the old password.

Current Android tablets and phones using an up to date version of the Outlook app should automatically prompt you to sign in with a new password after a short period of time.  If not you can try using the steps below to manually enter your new password.

Instructions

Note that current Android devices and email apps may not have an option in their settings to change the password manually; instructions may only work on older devices that have not recently updated their OS or app version.

  1. Open Outlook on your Android device and tap Settings (gear) icon in the upper right.

  2. In the Outlook Settings screen, tap on your CUIMC email account.

  5. Outlook will attempt to login with the updated password.

NOTE: If you are prompted for a Domain\Username field, type in your full CUIMC email address, then tap the check mark in the upper right to finish connecting. Your device will attempt to login with the new password and return to your email with no error message if successful.  If prompted or if the device is in Airplane mode, be sure to exit it in order to connect.
